Patcham gets the sandbags out.

Ground water level at Patcham is now at nearly 44m above mean sea-level and still rising although slowing. Some basement flooding is expected to occur tomorrow (Wed) morning. Aside from this there is also the risk of main drains backing up and unable to cope with the normal sewage flow. Council Officers yesterday visited  all properties likely to be affected to ensure they had evacuation plans in place if this should become necessary.

Briefing meetings are to be held this evening at Patcham Memorial Hall 5 to 6 pm and 6 to 7 pm.
